प्रारम्भिक (प्रथम खण्ड) / Prarambhik (Part-1)


This foundational Kathak course introduces students to the essential elements of rhythm and movement. Students will gain a basic understanding of Taal, Laya (Thaah, Dugun, Chaugun), and key theoretical concepts like Lasya, Tandav, and Aavartan. Practical training includes Greeva Sanchalan (neck movements), Tatkaar variations, and basic compositions such as Tukras, Aamad, and Salami in Tritaal, along with a simple dance in Dadra Taal. This level also emphasizes proper recitation of Bols and oral articulation of theoretical terms.

नृत्य भूषण (प्रथम खण्ड) / Nritya Bhushan (Part-1)

This intermediate-level course deepens the student's understanding of Kathak through an expanded theoretical and practical syllabus. Students explore key definitions related to rhythm, structure, and expressive elements of dance. Practical training includes enhanced Tatkaar in Thaah, Dugun, and Chaugun with hand gestures, Brahma Todas, simple Gat Nikas, and performance skills in Dadra and Keharwa Taal. Emphasis is placed on rhythm-based movement, structured Chhands, and accurate Padhant (recitation) with Tali and Khali indications.

नृत्य भूषण (द्वितीय खंड) / Nritya Bhushan (Part-2)

This level enhances students' technical and expressive Kathak skills. It includes the role of Ghungroos, body movements (Angas, Pratyangas), facial and eye expressions, and concepts like Kavit, Chakradhaar Paran, and Asamyukta Mudras. Practical training covers Tatkaar, Todas, Parans, Aamads, Kavits, and Gat-Vikas in Tritaal and Jhaptal, with modern pieces in Dadra and Keharwa. Focus is on Thaat, Kasak–Masak, and Padhant in Thaah, Dugun, and Chaugun. Students also learn Taal notation and demonstrate Thekas through recitation and dance.

नृत्य भूषण (अंतिम खण्ड) / Nritya Bhushan (Final)


This advanced course deepens theoretical and practical knowledge of Kathak. Students study key terms, Kathak–Natwari differences, Indian dance history, Rasa, Bhava, Abhinaya, and costume. Practical work includes Tatkaar, Parans, Kavits, Aamads, Salamis, and Gat Nikas in Tritaal, Jhaptal, Ektaal, and Dhamar. Emphasis is on Kasak–Masak, Layakari from Thaah to Chaugun, and expressive Gat Bhav. Students also distinguish between Lucknow and Jaipur Gharanas through performance and recitation.

नृत्य विशारद (प्रथम खंड) / Nritya Visharad (Part-1)


Explores Kathak Gharanas, Indian classical and folk dances, and key concepts like Rasa, Abhinaya, and Nayak-Nayika. It covers advanced theory, biographies of dance legends, and detailed notation practices. Students learn complex Tatkaar, Parans, Aamads, and Gats across Tritaal, Ektaal, Jhaptal, Ada Chautaal, and more. Training includes Layakari variations, Theka recitation, and harmonium Nagma practice. Focus is on deepening expression, rhythm mastery, and multi-Taal performance proficiency.

नृत्य विशारद (अंतिम खण्ड) / Nritya Visharad (Final)

Offers advanced study in Indian classical and folk dance forms, theatrical presentation, Abhinaya, Taals, and essential dance texts. It includes training in rare rhythmic cycles (like Matt, Shikhar, Lakshmi), expressive storytelling through mythological Gat Bhavs, and deeper understanding of Nayak–Nayika, Tandava–Lasya, and Nritya–Natya. Students refine their skills in complex Layakari, tabla theka recitation, and emotive performance in Thumri and Bhajan, blending theory with artistic depth for professional-level maturity.
